Fresh World started business on the 1st January 2000. Owner Colin Galbraith had recently left a position of Group Managing Director of a large produce company and decided his new company would offer a dedicated service to both the buyer and seller using his 30 years of experience in the trade. Very quickly it became apparent that many buyers in the UK at retail, food service, industrial and wholesale levels were conducive to working with an experienced supplier especially as many had limited personnel available for buying and they valued an experienced balanced approach to purchasing and supply.

Fresh World offered transparency in their dealings with suppliers from around the world and so gave confidence to both the seller and buyer. As experienced traders became available to the company all with a minimum of 20 years in the trade, Fresh World has added on products and sources and now has a dedicated team of 4 very experienced directors backed up by a logistics, administration and technical team allowing them to deliver produce to the varying standards that each customer requires. Fresh World's base is in the UK fresh produce fulcrum in Spalding, Lincolnshire and contracts out its warehousing, repacking and distribution requirements to some of the finest and most professional contractors for fresh produce in the UK .
